A Well Informed Ghost

5.10.18

We were casually walking through St. James park discussing the Eye and possibly taking a ride when she appeared. She (a local Londoner we had never met) told us about the Tate Museum and its free admission, late Friday hours, and amazing views. My classmates and I turned to each other to discuss the new option, we agreed to head that way. We wanted to thank the woman but when we looked around she was nowhere to be found. The woman probably walked away from us while we were distracted by our discussion. I would like to throw out a huge thank you to this mystery woman / ghost, she saved us time and effort and we had a great night! This was the first day of our trip we were able to explore freely. I’ve found that some of my best experiences abroad were created because I was able to relax and enjoy my company (that includes any locals). Today I not only got to visit the Imperial War Museum with my class but freely roam around the city and learn from the locals. The Tate’s exhibits include a variety of works and I have attached some of my favorites that incorporate odd materials and methods that remind me of childlike activities like building sandcastles, stacking blocks and collecting rocks. This evening we were able to have a spontaneous adventure.
