Memories of Memory Studies

I spent a couple of days after the trip feeling more jet-lagged than normal. I was a bit perplexed at my exhaustion until I considered that we traveled to four cities in just eleven days. Even though we had plenty of free time worked into our busy schedule, I do not remember resting until I got on the plane back to the states. Because we were in each city for only a few days, it would have been impossible to do and see everything- but we enjoyed each city in the time we had! A class accompanied followed by a study abroad component was the perfect pairing. I usually am the kind of person that travels with minimal knowledge of destinations and just have fun learning as I go. (I know, this is arguably the worst kind of person.) This class enabled me to think more deeply about the sites we visited, which will change how I travel in the future as well. Additionally, this course gave me so many great friends. I had a splendid time learning and traveling together with my classmates. I feel so lucky to have been a part of this program; this has been one of the best parts of my time at UT so far!
